Ever since i started the pill a week ago i have pain in the left side of my chest?

i started taking the birth control pill a week ago and ever since i have had pain that comes and goes in the left side of my chest, it makes me unable to catch my breath for a few seconds then it goes away, its unexpected and it only lasts a few seconds but it can be quite painfull, i've read its a side-effect of taking the pill and that i should go to my doctor or clinic but this is quite hard for me to do so. should i just stop taking the pill? could i still get pregnant if i just stopped taking the pill as i've had three times since i've been on it or do i have to finish the packet first?
