I am trying to find out how to catch what I have in my house that keeps leaving me surprises?

I have put down decon, moth , and traps. I still haven't caught anything but every morning I get up, there will be a little suprise waiting for me in the same spot. I seen on the internet that I could put down powder or flour to track the footprints, which I did with some peanut er but no footprints only surprises.
