Are modern relationships and modern marraiges only ostensibly equal?

Marriages are much more equal that they have been and are continuing to increase in equality. It is really difficult for those who dominated to give away this power. Gradually however, the value of gender is becoming viewed as equal. There is a long way to go, but we have traveled a long way to.
