1995 Bronco firing order?

I bought a used 1995 Bronco Eddie Bauer edition with a 5.0. According to all the books and the internet the firing order should be 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. However the firing order it has now is 1-5-6-3-4-2-7-8. It runs good and has great throttle response. I'm confused because the intake manifold says 5.0 H.O but the current firing order is the same as big block Cadlillac. Will engine damage occur if I try to go with the "correct" order? Should the engine be mis firing with it the way it is?
