Why do large urban areas tend to vote Democratic, while rural areas tend to vote Republican?

I think the more people know people the more they understand others. I know I live in a rural area now but grew up in the city. I know republicans that don't know gay people, black, jewish, people who have had abortions (even though their own kids are into stuff but they aren't aware of it) they don't know people who work hard & have hard lives or people who have been high up but lost everything so their kid could have the best cancer treatment. I could go on & on. I have a neighbor who has diabetes yet blames another neighbor for a mental illness & they are both really deal with getting off balance. I think people are more alive in the cities & I am not sure how much money comes in but the creative things seen to come mostly from L.A. & N.Y. when barely much seems to happen in so many other places. You can't buy a good salad where I live it is such a dead place. So I think people are just much more interactive with each other so they care more about one another which is why people vote as democrats. Repubicans are more likely to judge others & not have understanding for why people behave the way they do & are against feeling which is our inner guidance system so they just go along with Fox news or churchs or others. Dems think for themselves.
